Wendy experienced sexual harassment at her place of employment. After reporting the incident to Human Resources, she spent the next 10 months suffering intense retaliation at the hands of female coworkers. Despite being the highest rated employee in her department, she was unable to escape vigorous attacks from management, senior management, the department head and the regional director. Even reporting the incident to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission did nothing to stop the daily tactics used against her. Ultimately, she left for the sake of her health. However, it was too late. She left her position taking a book full of awards and praise as well as deep scars which later surfaced and were labeled post traumatic stress. Now she shares her lengthy experience as a manager, researcher and marketer to help build the promise of a Carrot of Hope.
