There are several important things to remember when selecting a therapist or a program to assist you in recovery.
Only you can know yourself best.
Healing can only begin if you feel safe with your caregiver.
Even an expert may not have all the answers.
Listen to your instincts.
EMDR Referrals: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is one of the most recommended treatments for PTSD. Make certain your EMDR therapist is "certified" because EMDR is useless unless it is conducted properly.
