We understand that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects people from all walks of life. It strikes victims of molestation, sexual assault, criminal violence, harassment, natural disasters, homelessness, joblessness and war. No matter what the cause, if someone is a victim of a situation that leaves them feeling uncertain, helpless and threatened for an extended period of time, PTSD is likely to develop.
PTSD affects artists, children, educators, executives, athletes, performers, and medical personnel as well as men and women serving their countries. Unlike people, PTSD does not discriminate. It affects the patient and it affects those who love them, so much so that loved ones may develop PTSD as well.
Our Board is made up of diverse members, reflecting the diversity of people affected by this illness. You can learn more about our Board Members below. We also encourage you to share your own stories. Every story shared is another story that someone else may find his/herself in.
